What Do You Really Want

George zoned out as the man was talking. Giving homilies was his job! And he was better at giving them than at listening to them. "Huh? Oh, yeah, that's good. It's been a long day." He said. "Thank you, dear fellow. Do feel welcome for tea any time." he said out of politeness. Preferably after dark, he added in thought. What a talk it would give if a man like him visited the presbytery. On the other hand, maybe people would think he was catechizing the poor heathen. That wouldn't look bad at all, actually.

Aahir gave a polite nod. "I may just take you up on that offer Father" He needed to go the opposite way. "Have a good night" He turned and started to walk the other way.

He offered an awkward smile. "Have a good night." he said. Then he took his cuitcase from the boy who had been carrying it and knocked on the door of the presbytery. The parish priest better be up.
