Mysterious Beast
Livestock Slaughtered by Unknown Predator

Several recent reports to the Madsmoor shrievalty detail strange, gruesome slaughtering of our local farmers' livestock during the night. Pigs, sheep, pheasants, and goats in groups of up to ten have been massacred with their entrails splayed out and half-devoured. This is not some small fox or badger's work, something larger is to blame. The current leading theory on this horrid phenomenon attributes the attacks to some escaped dog. Another, less savoury possibility is that someone is playing a sinister prank not fit for the faint of heart or the sound of mind. Any further detail should be reported to the shrievalty immediately.

Madsmoor Musical Society
Madswitte Guest Gathers Group

A young singer called Anatole Morin, a visitor of Castle Madswitte itself, has begun to rally those gifted with musical talents to begin a small troupe. They are convening at six in the evening in the borrowed space of town hall every Wednesday. All who aspire to or have some affinity for playing an instrument, acting, pantomime or singing are welcome to attend.

A citizen has noticed a body surface in the westernmost region of Menka's Bog, located just off the grounds of Castle Madswitte. Currently there are no plans to excavate the site further. All are cautioned to steer clear of the marshland as always, and to report any suspicious activity nearby.

Lady Madswitte Funds Frivolous Fancies

It has been announced that the new Marchioness, Lady Colette Madswitte, has recently commissioned several new building projects for Madsmoor Village. Among these projects are new housing, additional chapel rooms for local St. Joan's Catholic Church, a fledgling official Madsmoor hospital, and one building of peculiarity and note: a modestly sized theatre on the outskirts of town. The lady herself told our correspondent that she is delighted to fund and produce the new Colette Madswitte Theatre to "nurture the young minds of blossoming artists" and "stimulate acclaim" for Madsmoor itself.

A Most Queer Circus
Travelling Tricksters and Troubadours Tempt Theatre-Goers

In serendipitous fashion, as the final walls of the Colette Madswitte Theatre rise, so too comes the arrival of a circus to the outer limits of Madsmoor Village. The so-called Tachibana's Glass Circus showcases exotic foreigners who display acts of human-only music, dance, pantomime, and acrobatic feats. They appear to live and travel together like gypsies in their small caravan, the extent of their stay in the local area is unknown.

It is said that collaborations have begun between the theatre and the Glass Circus to create a chimera of unusual acts in one revue show. Shows on now! Various fun and games can be had in fun and games booths among the tents (which are ticket entry only) such as cups, darts, and shooting amusements.

Tragedy on Madswitte Grounds
Ghastly Governess Death

The body of one Miss Delia Harris was found this morning. It is said she had fallen from the castle's parapet, along with a bird cage - the bird alive - and many shards of mirror glass. The constabulary is performing inquiries. It is advised that all citizens remain clear of the body site, and avoid high places all around.
